What can I do to heal my wound after episiotomy? I had my son 14 weeks ago and have not yet healed.?
I had a baby 14 weeks ago. I had an episiotomy because I had to have a forceps delivery. A few weeks after he was born, my perineum tore and my stitches were sat on one side of the wound. It has been left to heal by itself. I have seen many documents because there still has not healed and that has been sampled. No infection and they always say it is like healing and healthy tissue. I'm bathing in tea tree, taking a lot of vit c bit its still not healing. His really getting me down. Does anyone have any advice on healing? Thanks Leanne
The healing of episiotomy If you had an episiotomy or tear (or both) then your body will need time to heal. This is true even if they give birth without a cut or tear. However, an episiotomy can cause pain durable. Usually the incision heals within 10-14 days. The points are the majority of the class that are absorbed through the skin. However, it is rare that the pain will last longer it only leads to "cure". Something you can do almost immediately is to enjoy sitz baths. This is a good idea even if you do not tear or a episiotomy. A sitz bath herbal calming the bottom and provide the healing of injured tissues. You can buy a pre-made bath solution seat of a birth supply store or you can make your own before birth.
