Do any of you managed to eliminate obstructive sleep apnea?
I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea nearly 10 years (I'm 37 now), and I am not, nor have I ever been, overweight or obese. I'm very active and exercise almost daily. I've been using CPAP since being diagnosed. There may be some options Surgical and I see my ENT specialist soon. Has anyone completely rid of sleep apnea surgery? If so, how? What surgery?
Surgery only works if you know exactly where the blockage is. In the case of the tonsils or nasal polyps, surgery works well. If you are a little further down the airway, surgery works less than 50 percent of the time. Some people just have floppy airways. Really get some opinions from surgery before any discussion. An interesting study has been conducted on the risks of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), transmission through the use of dental instruments and orthodontia. On the basis of a pre-existing model of surgical instruments, the analysis shows a number of uncertainties in the field of dentistry.
If a patient is recognized as high risk for CJD disease (symptoms of CJD), the instruments used in the individual must be selected with special care. These instruments must be sterilized if, in quarantine, and if absolutely necessary, destroyed. The problem with the instruments derived from the idea that, unknowingly, may be used on someone carrying the disease or a variant of CJD. If this were to happen, two potential routes of infection.
1. Infectivity can also CDJ occur in other tissues (the dental pulp, for example). This type of transmission, although not yet studied in humans has proven effective in animal studies.
2. Some instruments used in oral surgery, such as reamers and files can sometimes lead to significant material waste - even after washing. Risks transmission would most certainly be present if any remaining residue is CJD disease.
Although there are risks for the individual patient, the possibility Creutzfeldt Jakob disease transmission through the amygdala is fairly minimal invasion. However, if tissues and dental pulp were infected, the risk of transmission of the disease will increase significantly. The risk to the general public, of course, depend crucially on the initial prevalence CJD disease and the number of invasive dental procedures performed in a given period. The proportions at this point are not yet clear, but we can conclude that transmission through dental instruments is much less likely that infection via surgical instruments.
Reduce the risk of spreading CJD begins with the decontamination of dental and orthodontic instruments. While most existing methods can not completely eliminate the threat, much measure to reduce the amount of risk they pose. Other simple ways to reduce the risk of infection include the use of single use instruments and disinfectants medical degree.
Results in this study are based on a couple of factors. On the one hand, procedures for decontamination and disinfection of the standard dental not much less effective than the researchers assumed (assumptions are provided as rather conservative estimates of infectivity CDJ). Second, is the area of uncertainty, because we are still not completely sure that the types of tissues carrying the disease, and what tools and instruments to carry the greatest risk of infection. By Therefore, it remains extremely important to control the practices of decontamination, and, to use a spray disinfectant for medical use whenever possible to reduce the risk of infection.

Can a company restrict an employee to perform CPR and first aid?
I work in loss prevention a local mall. One of the other stores had an incident in CPR and first aid had to be provided to a client. The client died. After our learned that store to another store to witness the incident, which in turn, wrote a policy that we are not allowed to leave the property to help another store. Already we are not allowed to do CPR and first aid help to other stores. Can a company do this?
it's not illegal you can not restrict where you can save lives, what if someone at that store did not know CPR? but you should not be like nope can not fail to save misterthat is bull shit little advice If you ever see anyone in need no matter where you DO screw what they say they will be hailed as a hero

It is normal for dental stitches out after only 48 hours?
Tuesday (today is Thursday) I had my lower right wisdom tooth extracted. He got right. My dentist did not even need to pull it ... is literally appeared with the surgical tool used to push the gums with. Then he told me that my bones I have filed to avoid exposing the bone. That was 2 points. Both came out today. I have no bleeding, just a dull pain in teeth around. I am also certain dry socket yet?
No spit, gargle, SMOKING, soft drinks, USING straws, chewing on soft drinks on the opposite side, BRUSH around that area, not on it .... all that good stuff. From stitiches yiour came a little early to continue following the instructions given to yoiu least until Sat Referred pain is normal ...... however, if ur in pain ..... SAT Call your dentist.

What are the tasks performed by dental assistants?
Besides delivering dental instruments, dental assistants what else help?
That's a loaded question! We do almost everything Scheduling!, Make financial arrangements, treatment planning, radiographs, impressions, do bleaching trays, make temporary crowns, document procedures, follow up with patients, sterilize instruments, make soft splints and mouthguards, write prescriptions sign (Dr. 's of course), call in prescriptions to pharmacies, oral hygiene instruction and explain procedures to patients .... especially the nerves. Of course, some states do not allow assistants to perform its expanded functions. This also goes to the dentist you work. Hope this helps! Let me know if I can be of more help!

How dirty or dangerous work of sterilization?
I have a veterinary technology training, where I often responsbile for veterinary sterilization and packaging. surgical instruments. I like this job and I therefore sterile processing account. However, although I know I can handle animal blood and body fluids, I'ma little aprehensive about handling large amounts of human blood and other waste products. As technology Sterilization'm really going to handle large amounts of blood or other things like vomit, feces, etc.? I think my fear is that parties will be given buckets of vomit, blood, feces, or body, together with the instruments. What should I expect?
You, of course, you must use eye protection and a mask to protect themselves, but most important is wearing thick gloves. The vinyl will not protect you from sharp instruments.
