My ipod nano is still under warranty. The ipod nano suddenly failed to start. We brought it to Powermax center in greenbelt 3 in makati, Philippines to have it checked. The technicians were very rude accusing us of wetting the ipod . We denied this and they were pointing at a red indicator at the bottom of the ipod , in a hole which is for the headphone port. The red mark as we have researched is an indication of battery discharge level. It seems like this is a convenient common excuse to get away from the warranty. Several people have complained that this is becoming a standard operating procedure for apple repair centers so as not to assume responsibility for warranty service.
Go back and talk to the main boss. Tell him exactly what's going on. If you don't get satisfaction, tell him you're gonna sue. See what happens and take it from there. Good luck!

Why are rechargable batteries so short?
Whilst trying to be green, I bought a load of rechargeable batteries to replace the old-fashioned types in my various gadgets around the house. I was really surprised to see that rechargeable (brand: Energizer) AA batteries are about a mm shorter than regular (Brand: Energizer) AAs, meaning they rattle around in my remote / wireless mouse / wireless keyboard / alarm clock, to the extent that they actually lose contact and stop the device working. Its mad! Why would anyone make them shorter? Is there anything I can do to fix it, like a metal shim or something? PS I bought another brand's batteries (Sony), same problem. weird.
Not sure about that, as a cheap fix go to a dollar store and buy a cheap radio, cut off the springs from the battery compartment and use them. I repaired a digital camera that one of the terminal had broken off with this method.
