What is the best choice between plasma and LCD TV?
I really do not understand this HDTV, Plasma, LCD, and a lot of options. What is the best option to buy a 50 "television as hanging on the wall?
The quick and simple answer is: A panel of the screen Plasma (PDP) is an emissive flat panel display where light is created by phosphors excited by a plasma discharge between two flat panels of glass. The gas discharge contains no mercury (contrary to the backlight of an AMLCD). An inert mixture of noble gases (neon and xenon) is used instead. What we have is a physical excitation of the free radicals between flat plates. This plasma then burn. It is 100% inevitable. It is known in the FPD design world that plasma TV technology is going to die in within 5-10 years. A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a thin, flat screen consists of a number of color or monochrome pixels arranged in front of a light or reflector. It is prized by engineers because it uses very small amounts of electricity, making it suitable for use in battery devices electronics. Each pixel is composed of a column of liquid crystal molecules suspended between two transparent electrodes and two polarizing filters, the axes of the polarity of which are perpendicular to each other. Without the liquid crystals between them, light passing through one would be blocked by the other. The liquid crystal twists the polarization of light entering one filter to allow pass through the other. As LCD technology improves through schemes such as DLP, quality LCD will become equal to the plasma television. To enjoy games, Plasma TV to respond faster and provide better definition, however, as stated previously, have defined their problems. I would wait 5 years, until some of the advances that are currently on the drawing board come to fruition.
