Can I use my Blackberry Wired Headphones with a microphone with my computer?

I have the Blackberry Wired Stereo Headset. I use the headset (with microphone) with my laptop? I plugged in and tried to call the setup wizard that comes with Yahoo! Voice. He says no microphone detected. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. Thank you!

This will only work as a headset as there is no contact microphone in the headphone jack. You could try to go to Radio Shack or a computer supply store to find a splitter to be divided headset and microphone! No There is another way the headset is made for BBerry and Motorola products!
