How ampreage test with a multimeter?

I have no clamp amplifier, my meter has the ability to measure amps, but exactly How do I do?

You must insert the probe of the meter in the circuit. Make sure the circuit is not carrying more than the capacity of the fuses the first meter. Remove a connection in the circuit, then use the probes to put the meter in series. Again, be careful, we know the tensions that are trying, and be sure not to put more than the currently authorized by the counter. Many are fused at 10 amps. You can also put a tube in the circuit of a known (very low) the resistance, and then measuring the voltage drop across it. Ex: put a 1 ohm resistor in the circuit, and if = voltage of 10 volts, then currenct = 10/.1 = 100 amperes. You get the idea. Of course, you have to go back and calculate the actual current with the shunt removed.
